Fivefold Ministry
As
a “builder” in the Body of Christ I believe
strongly in God’s concept of multiple
ministry outlined in Ephesians chapter
four. Many call this list of spiritual
leadership types the “5-Fold” or “Ascension”
ministry gifts. They are simply people
ordained by God to equip the Church to
thrive regardless of circumstances until
Jesus returns. Without their influence any
church or believer is more than likely to
become imbalanced over the course of their
Christian life. You will need more than any
one to discover your God-given potential and
build a solid foundation in God’s Word so we
believe it is every ministry’s duty to work
with and help distribute the message of the
whole. Here at Torch Ministries we believe
there are actually many more than five kinds
of preachers, these are actually just five
categories that could contain untold numbers
of variations and mixtures of godly ministry
types. Therefore, we recommend and
highlight some of those we work with but
encourage every church and believer to find
the particular ministry gifts God has
ordained to help train them in each season
of spiritual life.

Rev. DAVID Huskey JOINED US IN APRIL

Church received a rather surprise
visit from Waylan Piercy, (along
with his wife Karla and two ministry
supporters, Lori and Sarah James),
the leader of a motorcycle group
known as Circuit Riders Motorcycle
Ministry, who heard about the
Newtown shootings and received a
message from the Lord. Waylan
carried a 14 foot cross around to
all the schools and local
organizations in his part of
Louisiana to gather signatures. His
message was absolutely awe-inspiring
and he concluded by putting his own
signature on the cross which already
had hundreds of names on it. Thank
you Waylan for hearing from God and
for all your efforts. It's not that
we'll ever forget what happened
here, but it's good to know God's

Connections Church is proud to announce that a great man of the faith, Howard Pittman will soon be visiting us.
